Account Executive
FW Publishing is home to some of Middle Tennessee’s most trusted and influential media brands, including Nashville Scene, Nfocus, Nashville Post and Williamson Scene. We connect local businesses with engaged audiences through print, digital, email, and experiential marketing—while celebrating the culture, creativity, and community that make this region special. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Account Executive to join our Nashville-based sales team. This is more than a traditional sales role—it’s an opportunity to work at the intersection of media, marketing, and community impact.
Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for developing new business, growing existing client relationships, and creating customized advertising solutions across FW Publishing’s portfolio. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoys helping local businesses succeed.
Responsibilities, qualifications, and disposition of the ideal candidate:
Cultivate relationships
Consult and present advertising solutions to local business owners and decision-makers
Aggressively build new business and manage existing advertising accounts
Maintain ownership of complete sales cycle, from lead to collections
Experience in lead generation, cold calling and developing a client base
Possess a track record of meeting and exceeding goals
Experience with using a CRM database(s)
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Knowledge of digital. email and social media advertising is a plus.
Experience with working with marketing agencies is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Organized with an ability to multi-task
Fearless and open to challenges and changes
Strong listening, communication and presentation skills a must
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Reads the Nashville Scene, Nfocus magazine, Nashville Postand/or visits Williamson The News as a source for news and information.
Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Applicants will need to be available to meet with clients in Middle TN.
Initial Salary range $50,000-$55,000 made up of base plus commission
